Welcome to Bob Gray and Peter Clulow, perhaps they can let us know how their first flights go.

The Carbon Cubs are 'first of type' here in NZ and require special treatment*
Bill Henwood (www.supercub.co.nz) will be doing the test flight and rating himself as soon as the weather clears up. Bill will then give Peter and myself ratings once the NZ CAA have approved the aircraft, not until late next week.
There are some pictures of the crate being unpacked here and the assembly here.

Hi Chip,
The On board camera is a GoPro Hero2 mounted in the open backed case so you can hear what's going on. I was hoping to catch Bill speaking (it's a controlled airfield) but I think I'll have to figure a way to connect it to the intercom to get the vox.
The ground based camera was a hand held Canon Legria HF20.
I ran it all through iMovie 11, stabilised it and corrected for the "rolling shutter" to try to remove the prop artefacts. There were certainly times where the plane got all distorted due to the "rolling shutter" but I cut those.
.....and yes, the on board camera was upside down
we need to investigate this video.... i know for a fact i saw those same clouds in southeast texas this week! country side looks the same ,,,that is just prior to 3 years of Hurricanes, Rita, Humberto, and Ike. i also would like to know what type camera......oh,,,, very good video,,,thanks.
