    Default carbon cub landing gear vs sport cub gear

    Im sure this is a Pete or Randy? What is the difference if any between carbon cub & S2 landing gear. I thought I read a thread on this once and cant find it.I was thinking somebody said it was bigger or heavier wall tubing?

    Carbon Cubs and Sport Cubs have the same landing gear. The Top Cub has landing gear that is built heavier (for 2300 lbs gross wt vs 1320 for the Light Sport airplanes) and is 3" longer.

    There is an optional gear out now that can be retrofitted on Carbon and Sport Cubs that is 3" longer and the axle is 3" farther forward. This shifts the weight more to the tail wheel and allows heavier braking without lifting the tail.
