Did you think about putting in the GTX330 and SL40 or was space a big issue?

There really isn't room for the SL40. Had to go with a Becker because of space issues. It does, however have a GTX 33. The GTX33 is kind of a remote verson of a GTX330 that is controlled through the G3X interface. Mode S.

Hi Pete. Must admit I do not like the Becker radio. Usable but annoying to tune
hard to see display and lots of static. Garmin far better.
Might be a way to squeeze the SL40 on the panel????

Also: with new 5 amp fuse aux power plug works

    Pete,
Is there anything Becker owners can do to improve the performance of their radios?

I have wondered if I did not have six inches of panel space somewhere where I could squeeze a Garmin
radio and if electrically necessary remove the Becker. As I mentioned below, it is usable but pretty lame

Can I ask why you guys didn't just use the vertical power vpx, then you would have room for a garmin radio and transponder?

Space was a big issue. There may have been a way to fit the Garmin radio.
    The Becker is really terrible.
Perhaps it is possible to add a mounting bracket just under the factory panel for a Garmin Radio.
