Fire Wall Grommett plugs
What do you use to plug the firewall where the electronic ignition cables and cannon plugs go thru?
Thanks

We mount both ignition modules on the cabin side of the firewall. This leaves only the cables that go from the modules to the ignition coils passing through the firewall. I have enclosed a drawing and some pictures of our installation. We can provide you with the parts if you decide to mount them like we do.
We use a silicone called Momentive (RTV 167 gray) to seal up the firewall grommets.
Thanks

I am sending a picture of where the crank shaft pickup cables should pass through the firewall. The large grommet (MS35489-52) in the center of the picture is where the cables pass through.
Also I am including a picture of the silicone tube.
Thanks

Re: Fire Wall Grommett plugs
I'm about to start on my boot cowl and am wondering if the rubber grommets are OK for the penetrations. Should these silicone grommets be used?:

The fuselage build manual calls out for "firewall RTV sealant". Is that this:

or this::

or??
Thank you,

i used the black rubber grommets that came with the kit. They worked just fine.
The sealant you found would work especially if you go with the red grommets. I used the equivalent RTV sealant in black to match the grommets that came with the kit
