N41CT - New SportCub Speed record
Hi SportCubbers.
Brian Thompson came down to Santa Rosa, CA to fly my Cub back to YKM. After a midnight arrival, Brian punched into the wild blue just after 0800. The airport went IFR shortly after his departure. I was shocked when my phone rang at 1345. Brian was in Yakima. One personal stop and one fuel stop at KLMT. Tailwinds as high at 70 mph, and usually at least 50 mph. Brian saw 170 mph over the ground.
If only all trips could go by like that!
A huge thanks to Brian for flying my Cub back home. I would say that at this point, he's the SportCub Speed King!
Cheers to all,
Tom Frazer

Now thats scooting! I've never had a tail wind like that, but I've done 4 hours with a sustained headwind of 40-50 mph.

Clay, that is very cool! So George has the world's fastest Sport Cub, and if he keeps going he'll have the world's highest time Sport Cub some day too. I did hear an unconfirmed rumor though that one of the two Sport Cubs in Australia is approaching 2,000 hours.
