    These are voltage and amperage data from prior to voltage issue, and since voltage issue (sorry they are sideways). The noise in alternator output and battery voltages are apparent. All voltage/amperage data from prior to high voltage is very smooth.

    I ran the plane measuring main bus from the cigarette outlet on the ground. Got the voltage up to 14.4 and the g3x voltage and cigarette voltage were spot on. Also checked alternator ground by measuring resistance from alternator case to negative on battery and it was .2 ohms.

    a loose wire or something is fooling the alternator into thinking voltage is low... EarthX says this is not battery related, but I still wonder

    The Denso voltage regulator is integral to the alternator. Since you have changed the alternator and the problem didn't change it's unlikely that there is a fault in the alternator voltage sensing or the regulator.

    Some Denso alternators have internal field excitation but this one uses an external field connection. I do not know how this alternator would react to an intermittent field connection. I suppose it's possible that the solid state regulator could be confused and increase the output voltage. Certainly worth carefully checking the field connector and wire to the circuit breaker.

    may have solved issue, the positive lead on the earth x wasnt fully secured, I lifted the battery out of the compartment and the (+) lead twisted. I had checked these earlier and both leads seemed secure. I have a hard time getting to these terminals under the seat and securing them fully. I tightened the positive down harder, and now voltages are more in line. Test flew it and B1 sat on 14.2-14.3. The back up remained a little low however, at 13.6-13.7. Perhaps it sustained some damage from over voltage situation. Im going to replace the back up. Hopefully issue resolved. The noise in the alternator output and voltages also smoothed out
