Andy - does it really make a difference with stops on the torque tub roll side? - what could be an issue - I left it off on purpose thinking the stops on the torque tube rotation would suffice??

Yes, there is a reason the Garmin includes that secondary stop.
It shouldn't hit the stop on the servo in normal operations but the stop should be set close, as a secondary backup. Garmin's installation instructions are clear on this.

Thanks for all the input - I added the stop bracket per Garmin’s instructions - took almost 2 hours to put the two screws in.
