    Default Spare Fuel Cap

What do you think about carrying a spare vented fuel cap? Do you?

Concern is losing (or damaging) one and then being grounded until replacement acquired.

    Thanks,
    John

I don't but know a few who do and others that wished they had.

I keep a spare fuel cap in my "Oh S%#$" bag; haven't had to use one but have saved the day for some of my flying buddies over the years.

I simply put a chain on mine. Sash chain attached to a 1/2” dia length of UHMW that won’t come back out of the hole without aligning it vertically by hand.

Along this same line and to quote Chip, what else should be carried in "Oh S%#$" bag" ? I carry my tool bag with the usual suspect hand tools, oil, rags, duct tape, electrical tape, tie wraps, windshield cleaner, paper towels, hand cleaner, gloves, micro jump battery, flashlight and batteries.
The only spare parts I have been carrying are:
40 amp main fuse, spare cowling screws, air filter, and spark plugs.
Feel free to pile on. May want to make this a separate topic.
    Thanks
