Cherry max H781-456 assistance needed

Is anyone using the cherry max pneumatic gun with the H781-456 ? I purchased one from ebay and have been able to pull cherry max rivets. Unfortunately, at least on my unit it doesn’t seem to pull the CCPS-04-02. Although, CC photos show this has been used to pull these rivets. Has this happen to other users? Any suggestions on how to solve this issue?

thanks for the suggestion. I have looked on youtube and have not found any reference to adjust the tool. Please send a couple of links as others have had similar problems. Thanks and Happy New Year!

I actually think it is a different offset head for the regular pull rivets vice the cherrymax. Here is a link to gage built pullers and you can see they have different offset model numbers for cherrymax and other rivets. I have not confirmed with Cubcrafters if that is a different head but I think most builders are still pulling the ribs with a hand puller even if they have the cherrymax tool.

ok, thanks. It seems CC and in the build photos, they are using a different attachment. Unless someone at CC has any insight for us….

From our wing build shop, There are different head unit p/ns for the rivet puller H781-456 and different head options are optimized for different types of rivets, this is the info they provided, I hope you find it useful;


The top picture style rivet gun will pull both style rivets. Cherry max and pop rivets. Example - (Head unit numbers off a GAGE BILT rivet gun - 4N-751A-43OS,13536-A,9012-2)
The second picture of that style rivet gun will only pull Cherry max rivets. Example - (Head unit numbers of a GAGE BILT rivet gun - 456MAX-704-43OS, 76309-T, 1149-2)
