One suggestion that I'd make is to consider doing factory transition training at Tac Aero, during the summer months when they operate out of Hood River, Oregon. Lots of good challenging wind opportunities there, which you can take on with a well-qualified instructor on board. They also have neighboring soft and hard fields that you'll practice at, so it's a good diverse training environment.

Yes, it’s too bad about that. I’m not familiar with their new location, can anybody tell us a bit about it? Have they got some good off-field landing sites?
