Spray gun nozzle for Poly-Brush and Poly-Spray?

Do you have any advice for me about spray gun nozzles for Poly-Brush and Poly-Spray?


The values I found range from 1.4 (which seems to me to be a little) to 2.4 (which seems to me to be a lot).


What do you think?

I checked my notes and found I set my gun at 1.7. This is with an HVLP system.

Hi Yvette,

Here’s some info I wrote up in it. I actually called them at the polybrush factory and they said to use a 2.4 tip. That puts out a lot but that’s ok. It dries in seconds so doesn’t run much at all. You want it very wet as it goes down. It should be “shiny” if you have used enough. I had a 2.4 tip gun screw up on me once right in the middle of spraying a wing and I used my 1.3 finish gun. It worked but you had to go really slow to get enough out fast enough…..but it worked.

That was for Poly-Brush. Is it the same for Poly-Spray ? Between 1.7 and 2.4 ?

Yves….yes. Both uses the lager nozzle.
