Big Engine XCUB

I have about 30-40 hrs in the new Big engine XCUB on whips now. It really performs well. It’s no Carbon cub but it no slouch at all. Fully loaded 2 people 10 seconds off the water. 1 person 1/2 tanks it’s just over 5 seconds. 75%power TAS 125-130. Couple FX3s on 29s were pushing hard to keep up with us going to lunch the other day. It’s really a capable float plane. Small ponds aren’t any problems. Does well in choppy water. Ground handling is great. Plenty of flotation when loaded. Slow flight is great doesn’t feel like your dragging 2 canoes around under you. Very impressive float plane all around.
I helped a customer bring his from Naples Florida to Spirit Lake Iowa Saturday 1400 miles, long day. We left Naples at 7:30amEST arrived Spirt Lake at 8:15 Pm CST.
