During the first condition inspection of my FX-3 I found that the mixture control had rubbed on the lower cowling removable center panel. This only happens when the fuel servo mixture control is in the full rich position.

Removing the right louver panel allows easy access to the mixture control arm for a clearance check. I'd suggest slipping various size drill bits between the control and the cowling to estimate the clearance.

Are other FX-3/EX-3 owners finding adequate clearance at full rich mixture?
