Default To cool the TitanCC340 on take off you need 16.2gph WOT

Mike Busch of Savvy aviation says fuel flow equivalent to approximately 10% of horsepower , 18 gph on 180 hp Titan CC 340 is needed to cool the engine on takeoff
Titan CC 340 operations manual ( see chart below from continental.aero owners of TITAN CC340 ) says 16.2 gph is the fuel flow required on takeoff
I see Cubcrafters forum members saying they are getting from 11.6 to 13.4 gph
    Any thoughts anyone .?

With the standard 80*50 prop take-off RPM at sea level is more like 2400 RPM at around 60 Kts . so fuel flow would be approximately 10-12% lower than if you were at 2700.
I can only get 2700 RPM at close to Vne.

"Turbo pilot " has informed me that his new 2020 carbon SS has a fuel flow on take off of 15.1 gph
Mine was 11.6 gph Carbon cub SS 2011
The additional cooling is no doubt very helpful

I 've just looked at one of my engine logs and I see 13.4 USG/H peak flow at 2440 RPM.

My gold cube over-reads 2-3% based on refueling uplifts.

Just checked my engine monitor logs and my fuel flow is 14.8. I'd need to check out how much higher it is at 2700 rpm. In the logs for these particular flights my takeoff rpm varied between ~2500 rpm to 2600.

I had the Marvel Carb SB new fuel nozzle installed when I sent my engine out for work last spring and the temps are all very good. Never saw CHT temps above 373-380 just after climb out which later settle to about 360.
