The earthex is 3.5 pounds while the braille is 11.5 pounds. I will be watching for a performance report!

This is true, but the earthex is a lithium battery. I know oh so well the dangers of this battery. I will not put it in my plane.
Hi Gary, Just wondering how the Braille battery worked out. Is it the B 14115? Looks like a good fit, but at 3.4" thought it might be to wide for the battery box.
Thanks, Tom
I'm interested as well to see how the Braille worked out. I still have the small battery box and my its getting a bit weak. Gary's battery box looks like the newer one that's larger. I'll measure the standard box to see if the Braille will fit.

The Braille has been flawless!! Below temp. In the Mountains, on cold mornings it cranks like a little baby crying for mommy!! My other buddy with his lithium, well I thought I was going to have to use the jump starter!
I even put this in all my 4 wheelers and commercial lawn movers, my battery problems are gone !!
I have the Braille battery(11.5lbs). It has been installed for over a year now and has never let me down. I used Lithium Iron batteries and I had two of them in parallel . They worked great for two years and weighed only 2.11 lbs each. The reason I got rid of them was kinda of a fluke. I lost my alternator shortly after take off and with in 5 minutes my voltage was down to eight volts. I made it back to the airport fine. I have a Dynon 180 and it reports voltage constantly and thanks for that. I found out in the process that one of the two Lithuim batteries was bad and would not take a charge. I don't know how much that had to do with the voltage drop. but it was probably the biggest problem.
I have the old type seat pedestal and the Braille battery fits just fine. Hope this helps, Jim, with your decision.
