Does CubCrafters balance the props at build? I watched a good video today by Mark Patey. Would be nice to know balancing is done at build.

I'm sure the prop mfg balances the prop.
But the real way to have everything (spinner to tail wheel) in balance is to have the prop/plane dynamically balanced.
I would almost say this is a must for all planes.

That's great, while not expensive to have done, that would be a real plus after all that work for your new plane.

Speaking of props, Ive been searching and demo several different props on my 17 SS for upcoming STOL contest. Yesterday I tried a new Catto 84-36 thats going on a exp cub. what a prop! I thought it would blow thru the rpms and immediatly redline the engine. As long as it was climbing, I saw 2635 rpm. When you pushed over and leveled it out, it would redline easily if you let it. While it did shorten the ground roll about 25 ft I estimate, it really shined in the climb, incredible climb rate. About 75 mph cruise. Not too practical for everyday, but Ill takethe 65 ft no wind groundroll
Ill try to get some video
