    Default Forward elevator spar to alumininium trim yoke wear

    Hi everybody,
    I have a EX Cub CC1865 I built a few years ago and have wear in the aluminium trim yoke assemblies 5/16”holes where the elevator forward spar attaches via the two AN5 bolts.Keen to hear of your experiences and fixes

    Hi Kenny,
    Are you talking about wear in the aluminum hollow round stock that goes thu the trim yoke and connects, via matched drilled holes, to the front of the horizontal stabs to the trim yoke? If this is the case, I would think you could install a new one and match drill it to the horizontal stabs.

    How do you know that this has worn? Just trying to understand as my plane (and I ) continues to age.

    Looking at the picture in the other thread, I wonder how these two holes in the yoke could wear much. There is just a few degrees of rotation here as the yoke moves up and down.

    I’ve seen PA18 yokes wear on the internal jackscrew thread. Could this be what you’re seeing?
