Hey ALL,
Doing some research for upgrades. Does anyone know what gauge ram air tubing for the pitot system was used in the early sport cub? I am not back at my hanger for a week to check myself.
Thanks in advance and happy trails.

Its 3/4 for anyone wondering.
That sounds way too large. Are you talking about the aluminum tubing in the left forward jury strut? Should be more like 1/4 OD with 1/4 ID plastic line in the wing.

I figured he was/is referring to something like the Dynon Heated Pitot. or the G3X option

Yeah 1/4 in the cockpit, my bad. #fractions. I had called someone in parts/ service at cubcrafters. They had told me it was 3/16 outside Diameter for the sport cub #4. While I appreciate the response from the department, I ordered the wrong size tubing and tees to split off for the G5. It was 1/4" like Pete just said.
I accidentally broke my pitot tube off while washing on CC-11 #16. I just ordered a new jury strut and pitot tube assembly. Super easy to change out. I did have a difficult time communicating the style of pitot tube the early birds have on them. Stan knew exactly what I needed, but (good for him) he has retired.
