Slick/Emag combo?
I am thinking of switching one of my Slick mags out to an E-mag. Has anyone done this? Looking for feedback.

Re: Slick/Emag combo?
Yeah.
If only one of your mags is an impulse mag you would want to leave that one and remove the non impulse coupled mag. Secondly, your RPM sensor is probably coming off the magneto, if you leave that intact, or relocate to the magneto that you do leave intact, then you will have one less wire to hookup. Or, you can pull the rpm from the emag too.
Later I removed the second mag and installed a second emag as well. Overall both pmags maybe saved 1 gph and also allowed me to run a carbed O-320 LOP, other than that not much performance difference. Cant say id do it on a carb’d engine again. Easier starts and smoother/lower rpm idle.

Thanks for the reply. I've had starting issues and thought I would look into an Emag if I needed a new set of Mags. Looks like the issue might be internal timing of the contacts, a much cheaper fix.
