Does anyone know the height of the tail when a Carbon Cub is on Amphibs? I can't find it anywhere. Baumann, Aerocet, Clamar make a difference?
Wondering if they will fit in my hangar.
thanks,
scott

Bauman will be the shortest, Claymar the tallest of those you listed. Wipline would be taller than Claymar. Aerocet is probably in between Bauman and Claymar.
Highest point is the top of the rudder.
According to the CC18 Top Cub Flight Manual the Top Cub on Wipaire 2100A amphibs is 10' 6.5" to the top of the rudder. A Carbon Cub would be slightly under that on Wipline floats because there is no beacon light on top of the rudder.

According to the float supplement for the Light Sport Carbon Cub the top of the rudder is 117" (or 9' 9") when on Aerocet 2000 amphibs.

So you will likely be in between 9' 9" and 10' 6" I don't have the exact number handy for each float manufacturer. The angle of the ramp into the hangar can make a difference too as the top of the rudder is so far back, if there is several degrees of slope going into the hangar the tail is higher until all the wheels are in the hangar on the level surface.

Thanks Pete, answers that question! My door is 12' h, but just aft of the door the ceiling is 14' so this works both ways!
Appreciate it!

Gunny I have a customer with Aerocet amphibs on a Carbon Cub SS in Ardmore and I can get you an exact measurement if you need more detail. Just let me know.
Thanks
