Thanks I’ll call him. I hadn’t thought about lengthening the pipe. Was tying to figure out how o seal it up. I have a smoke system in this so when I turned it on it was coming in at my feet. That’s the only reason I knew i was getting exhaust inside. I haven’t got to see it in person I had the wings recovered and all the blue repainted and the pod to match they just finished it looks good in the pic.

Cabin heat PIREP.
Not too cold this am (42F) but the cabin heat was too hot had to push in 90% or so on the flapper door control.
So far, so good.
Check back this winter!

PIREP on the Vetterman exhaust on my EX2 with fuel injected IO-340 after flying a bunch.
Overall excellent.
I did have to cut out the cowl as the clearance with #1 exhaust was just too tight. I made several aluminum heat shields as suggested by Clint at Vetterman's. These are 0.020 aluminum pieces shaped to the contour of the cowl and adhered with a bead of high temp RTV so the aluminum has 1/8" space above the cowl. After flying a few hours, I then added heat reflective tape which is working beautifully and is very easy to apply. I thoroughly cleaned the carbon fiber with alcohol and then used 3M 94 adhesive promoter before applying the tape:

For the #1 exhaust clearance issue, I cut out a shape similar to the metal shields used where the aileron cable exits the wing. I then made a carbon fiber "bump out" with this shape and epoxied it in to the cowl. At this point, it is still unpainted black carbon fiber. I might leave it or spot paint it blue to match the cowl. But right now I'm flying and not painting.
I bet Clint could bend the #1 pipe in toward the midline to provide more clearance so you would not have to cut out the cowl.
Seemingly great cabin heat, but we'll have to wait until winter for a thorough test.

Pete, here’s a picture of my extensions. They took care of the problem for me.
