Default Yankee One to High Sierra Fly In

Last week we made the big trip West for the High Sierra Fly In on the Dead Cow Lake bed 80 miles north of Reno, NV. I was fortunate to have fair skies for both legs and saw some new and cool terrain west of Salt Lake City. I did just alittle flying in the area day 2 where I followed 3 others up through various canyons and down across Lake beds and deserts. We stopped for breakfast at Bodad, an high altitude strip in the alpines, then stopped at a friends ranch in Cali dating back to the 1800’s. He has a collection of some very old caterpillars and most run. 4,392 miles over 7 days. What a run, it’s the only way to see this great country. I highly recommend a trip west in your cub.

Check out this video I made with the GoPro Quik app.
