    Default Strut Fork - fitting

Hey fellow builders. Can anyone kindly confirm that nut AN316-C7R remains the correct nut reference number for the fork installation? That reference number is not on my packing slip.

    Grateful thanks.

Matt, My notes show that that was installed on the strut forks at the factory and not something we had to install. It's on Page 164 or Section 50 of the Finish Manual (DropBox version of the Manual For EX2). Is this the nut you are referring to? Its shown in Photos 330-332 and should already be installed on the strut.

You have to hunt around the manual a bit but here are some notes on the strut attach fitting at the fuse:

Struts at Fuse: Calls for TC1909-001 bolt and AN960-616L washer under the bolt head BUT....don't use the washer, there isn't enough room below to install a washer and the castellated nut AN320-6. The castellated nut and cotter pin isn’t installed in the manual until later after the wings are adjusted but if you notice, the bolt is not long enough to install the washers as called for and get the cotter pin to fit! The washers are not needed so leave the top one off for sure (since it’s a really pain to remove it later) and then you can see if you can get the thin (L) washer to fit above the nut and still get the castellated nut to tighten enough to get the pin to fit.

Also be sure and ream out the 2 holes on each side of the fuse where these bolts go to 3/8” before you start installing the struts (preferable before you install the fabric in fact).
