As Chuck says, this is one "badass" airplane and we are expecting major interest when it arrives in the southeast. While the dates are still somewhat fluid (weather, numbers of stops, etc.), we are expecting the FX-3 to be in our territory right after Thanksgiving, with a showing at the Peach State Aerodrome (NKA Alexander Memorial) on the south side of Atlanta and another at the North County Airport in West Palm Beach, FL. Given enough interest, we may have a third showing in the northern part of our territory. Event dates and times will be published, in advance, on our website and in a newsletter. I really think this is an awesome combination of engine, prop and air frame. I guess I better get down to the factory for a first hand look. What kind of empty weights are you seeing? Changes from the FX/EX2 are ? Engine, cowl, prop and mods to the wing for strength are the main changes? I look forward to the day I have time to build again. I really like constant speed props and injected engines.......put that on a cub. To much fun!

All of that info will be added to the website in the next two weeks, but you are right: new engine (CC363i), cowl (similar to XCub), prop (Hartzell Trailblazer in 80" or 83"), and a host of structural upgrades to support the 2,000 GW limit and speeds north of 140 MPH. Empty weight of base airplane is 1,023 lb., Serial Number 2 (loaded with options and 31" ABWs) is 1,162 lb.
