Wondering if anyone has ever modified the EX 2 stick by addition of an Infinity Stick Grip
I replaced the one in my EX with a Ray Allen G205. Ended up machining down some 6061 tube to transition from the ID of the factory stick, to the ID of the Ray Allen grip. Also allowed me to increase the length of the stick, they just seem too short. Have to adjust stick travel to insure it did not interfere with the panel, or have the ability to get stuck behind panel. I find the larger grip more substantial and feels better, plus having the PTT, CWS and trim all on the top of the stick is nice too. Even have one extra switch that’s TBD.

Thanks for the information. How difficult were the travel adjustments?
They were too bad. You just adjust the two elevator turnbuckles equally while checking max Fore and aft travel to insure you are not contacting panel or seat. Then reset cable tension and install new turnbuckle retainers.

Had infinity grips in my F1Rocket - great product but to big for our Carbon Cubs in my opinion. Check out Tosten Manufacturing for nicely sized grips. http://www.tostenmfg.com Good company, excellent products, and many different types.

Thanks Bill. Went on the web and product looks perfect. Ordering now. Steve
A Tosten stick grip may need some modification to handle the electrical loads on Carbon Cubs. I've installed the Executive Panel in my CC and had to have my Tosten grip switches upgraded for the electrical loads. Otherwise, I would have needed a relay board.
Check with Tosten if such modification would be needed in your application.
BTW - Mitch told me the X-cub grip and stick is ~ $1,000
Some caution here folks. Please be aware that lengthening a pilot control stick, even just a little by using added grip length, can significantly increase the loads in the flight control system as was confirmed on the Xcub design & certification effort. The EX & EX-2 control systems are designed and tested for the stick length provided with the kit. Xcub & our new EX-3 / FX-3 models include longer sticks/grips and the flight control structure was strengthened to accommodate this, and structurally tested for validation.
