    Default CC11 vs CCK

I am completely confused on the model designation system.....I have a CCK-1865 but it seems some of the service bulletins of the CC11 apply to my airplane....but there is also a CCK set of listings in the service bulletin section.

Wikipedia says CubCrafters Carbon Cub EXAn experimental kit variant of the Carbon Cub SS with a gross weight of 1,865 lb (846 kg).[8]

Someone have time to school me in ?????

    CubCrafters model designations:

PA18-150 Piper/CubCrafters (Car 3 certified Piper Super Cubs built under the old "Spare and Surplus" rules, most are 2,000 lb gross weight, 180 hp)
    Most marked as "Top Cub"
CC18-180 Top Cub (Part 23 Certified, 2,300 lb gross weight, 180 hp)
Marked as "Top Cub Classic" and "Top Cub Ranger"
CC11-100 Sport Cub (Factory built Light Sport, 1320 gross weight, 100 hp)
Marked as "Sport Cub" and "Sport Cub S2"
CC11-160 Carbon Cub SS (Factory built Light Sport, 1320 gross weight, 180 hp)
Marked as "Carbon Cub SS" except for the first few were "Super Sport Cub"
CCK-1865 Carbon Cub EX (Shipped as a kit, can be 1320 or 1865 depending on builder choice. Engine builder choice but commonly the same engine as the CC11-160)
Marked as "Carbon Cub EX" if the builder used Cub Crafters graphics
CCX-1865 Carbon Cub FX (Builder assist version of the Carbon Cub EX)
Marked as "Carbon Cub FX" if the builder chose standard graphics
CC19-180 XCub (Part 23 Certified, 2,300 lb gross weight, 180 hp, constant speed prop and spring gear)
Marked as "XCub", first few airplanes sold also marked "Launch Edition"

Thanks for all the info Pete! Appreciated on this end. So still unclear to me. Does the CC11-160 SB'S all apply to the CCK-1865? It appears to be the same airframe only kit built.

    Joel,

The CCK aircraft have their own service bulletins. Although these are often identical or similar to CC11 service bulletins, only the CCK bulletins apply to CCK aircraft. All Carbon Cub service bulletins are available on our support page.
