Beginning to experiment with 4k, 360 degree video on my Carbon Cub. This technology is early and full of bugs but it is clearly the future for video. In order to view this video in 360 you must use a Chrome browser. In Chrome use your cursor to pan around the video in 360. 360 video will not render using Safari on the Mac. Don't know how it works in the Windows OS.
The most immersive experience is to use the YouTube app on an iPad or iPhone. Using these devices just hold the device level with your eyes in the full screen mode and swing it around to look at the view in 360. Just like having a seat hanging from the left wing in these videos.
The following is a raw, unedited 8 minute flight in a Carbon Cub in the vicinity of Thermal, CA (KTRM). Right now YouTube does not allow any editing of 360 video on line and post processing these videos before upload is pretty tedious. 360, 4K video files are very big and take a long time to render with each change.
