We had a cancellation today so there is a cabin available if anyone is needing a room you better grab it quick. Gaston's has been booked up for the last couple of weeks. Spread the word on the open room. Call Gastons and after reserving the cabin please RSVP through the link below.
We have two full days of flying scheduled with several new strips on the list. Looks like close to 20 airplanes coming. Let me know if you have any last minute interest I think we still have a couple cabins available. Contact me or Kathy for details.
We are joining up with the RAF group on Saturday at the new Trigger Gap strip that was just opened up recently. I will have RAF brochures with me if anyone wants more details on this group. They are doing great things for our Back Country Flying Community! Dave Powell with the Arkansas RAF Team will be joining us for lunch at Byrd's Adventure Center on Friday and can fill us in on all the great things happening with airstrip access in Arkansas.
Bring your flour bombing and spot landing skills as we will be having both events both days! Kathy seems to think her name is already on the flour bombing trophy!!
See you Thursday!!!
Feel free to keep me posted on your progress as you make your way to Gaston's on Thursday. Text will be the best way.
I just received an email from the RAF saying they have cancelled the Trigger Gap Fly-In this weekend due to weather. That's too bad, I was looking forward to our rendezvous with those guys. Terry
Here are a few pics from the Ozark Mountain Adventure 2017. We had planes from as far away as North Carolina and several from the Atlanta area. Weather kept a few from Texas getting there but we had great weather for the most part. Looking forward to more flying in this region in the years to come. What a great BackCountry playground. Thanks to all those that attended and to Chip and Kathy at SWT Aviation for helping pull this event together!
