Just bought a sweet EX.
i need to move the seat back a couple more inches so I can fly comfortably.
im 6'2" and flying with knees at 90's isn't comfy.
before I do anything on my own, wondering if someone has already done it

Hi Threeper65
Been done before Stede52 (Seattle) will no doubt be along shortly to advise, I 6'4 and Steve is about the same, I've sat is his verrrry nice CCEX and plenty of room with his mod. Mitch at Cub Crafters also has the drawings for Steve's modification, seems very well thought out and Steve is great guy and his aircraft is exceptionally well built.
Enjoy your EX, I'm envious, still saving and scheming to get mine though the AUD to USD dropping 25% isn't helping any!
all the best. Peter E. Newcastle Australia.
PS: Back in the PNW in late March through April (Eugene and Portland) if anyone wants to give an Aussie another CCEX fix to keep the addiction alive! I'll pay gas and buy you Lunch!
I know what you mean. I ended up re-designing both the seat bracket and slide rails on the pedestal for mine and I got another 4"+ out of the mod, unfortunately those seat brackets need to be installed prior to applying the seats cushion and fabric. The other down side to my mod is that the rear stick is no longer usable and requires an additional support bracket at the rear, see attached pic. I did make a set of extended pedestal slides for another Gary Weavers's Carboncub and I think it gave him an additional two inches with no changes the seat brackets and he can still use his rear stick. I did provided Mitch with all the drawings to make the hardware, you might want to ask him about it and if they have come up with anything better or give me a call if you have any other questions. 425-417-7943.

Thanks! I have no problem recovering my seat or losing rear stick use. (Already have it covered)
I'll get to work.
