Cool spot DeLeon springs. I here the fountain of youth close by. You cook your breakfast at the table(Sugar Mill Restaurant) We were quite the attraction when we pulled up. Someone landed Near the park🤷 . Saw the park ranger on the radio but never came over so all’s good.

I discovered for myself a sport that I didn’t know existed, and looks like as much fun as messing with airplanes.
While patrolling the skies of central Florida for intruders, my route took me to the Peace River. A somewhat decent sand bar grasses over is full of airboats. They have beer and girls and music going. A couple of drag passes and I plunk down to say hi. Some of these guys have LS3 vette engines with nitrous injection. Massive hp

Went to lunch at a local hunting lodge Lightey family ranch. Lee has some Giant gators in his pond. Super nice place!! It’s pretty tight 250’ with lots of obstacles fence and power line at the end. Had a little bit of a quartering tail wind made it a little more challenging to say the least.

Took my favorite Daughter to breakfast,then jumped in float plane went to new restaurant for lunch. Met up with Jim (scouter) in the air. I asked if anyone would get bent out of shape if he landed in the parking lot/county rd. First thing out of waitress mouth was he could say it was a emergency landing. They said no problem. He chickened out, probably saved a bunch of 911 calls for plane landing on the road😂. Good lunch next time Jim.

Yep happy to fly high cover for the boys. I have had a chat with a local fire dept and sheriff and rescue team who came to save me already this year Didn’t need saving thank you. Didn’t pass the smell test to land in the town. I was happy to find another beach in the Peace River to eat my granola bar.

That was probably the right decision. But we had the whole restaurant out there to watch and Steve walked down to stop any traffic 😂

They had a Charity event Airboat rodeo (Airboats for Autism)Thought it be fun to crash the party. There were some pretty tricked out boats. Twin supercharged,nitros. They were barrel racing😂
