Beware of Guard Cows! I saw a bar on my way back from Ga today. There was a pile of cows on it they were all laying down,I just landed over them. I jumped out took a picture. When I lowered my phone it looked like 100 cows at full stampede headed at me. Maybe the rancher feeds out of a cub? I jumped in and hauled tail. Craziest thing I've ever seen.

    Chuck,

Those cow would crawl into the back seat if they thought their was a bucket of feed in there. I know mine would. LOL

It's not the food. It's Aeroshell, they are giving those cows big ideas

That's a great picture. You sure wouldn't want those things rubbing on your tailfeathers.

I had a similar experience after landing on a friend's ranch in central Montana. I didn't stick around for a picture though. Two other Cub friends landed on the other side of a fence and they thought it was pretty funny - safe on their side.

I have landed around a bunch of cows on ranches usually don't pay much attention to you, some times they come over think your feeding them. I've never seen cows run that fast they actually looked like they were stampeding. They bent my Buddys PA18 up one time he left it in the pasture over night.

My buddy has a place on the lake 50 miles away invited us for a cup of coffee and I just happened to have a Float plane in the hanger.
