Had an occasion to visit Scranton Wilkes-Barre, PA for a customer demo flight and while 2 of his friends are heavy into Aviation, this fella is getting his feet wet again after an absence of 30 years. Imagine yourself joining the fold again for the first time in a long time and starring down the barrel of the XCub. Exhilarating, Exciting, Intimidated. Finally got the pod done. After trying to put 4 fuel bags in my pod and having absolutely no space left,I decided to just convert the front part to fuel. I end up with 20 gals forward of the access door with plenty of room for my gear. We leave for Alaska Friday by way of KS then to Yakima to pick up another cub from the factory then a flight of three headed to the airman show.

First 2 days went well 14hrs Fri Florida to Tulsa long day. Saturday took it easy Tulsa to Casper. Didn’t miss to many sandbars and Farm fields when we needed a break.

Keep an eye on your pod hinge where it is glued. Mine started to separate and I put in a row of rivets. I noticed it when I pulled my skis last month and think the cold may have been the cause.

I like the forward fuel section.
