I'm sure you are aware of this, but you can build one. I did using a Harbor Freight engine stand and a wood support for the back.

Would hate to see a slow down of building waiting for a rotator.

I will look into that option as the bogart aviation rotator is over $1600 without wheels. If i want wheels, It requires 8 for $700.

If you can share a bit more detail on your harbor freight purchase and modifications, it would be greatly appreciated and could benefit future builders!

Well it wasn't pretty but it worked. Brief description below.

Firewall part: Harbor Freight engine stand (rotates). Used 1" square tubing to mount to the top engine mount holes (wider than the engine stand) then mounted to the engine stand. Just used cheap bolts but were the correct diameter.

Tail end: built a wooden stand, probably could use a saw horse. To attach to the fus, used angle iron attached to the 2 tail spring holes on the fus, then attached the angle iron to a iron pipe flange screwed onto a hunk of iron pipe (~ 6"). This pipe slid into a slightly larger diameter of iron pipe secured to the wooden stand (using U bolts). So both ends rotate. I could not rotate a full 360 degrees but didn't need to. Could probably rotate ~ 220 degrees (???). Was able to build and paint using this set up.

All supplies came from Home Depot/Lowes and Harbor Freight. The whole setup is not heavy and you could use cheap caster wheels to move it.

For the wings, completely different story. Was able to borrow wing rotators from a local guy at the airport.

The BIG box comes next week, how exciting. It's worth it, build on!

I went cheap and chose a $40 option for the wheels. I picked then up at Menards. I have a Bogart rotator in the Midwest if someone has a need.

Just following up on your tail end support : do you have a photo or two of your tail support idea as a starting point? I have my EX3 kit scheduled for a Feb 2023 arrival and plan an engine stand approach on the firewall but am still considering options for the tail.
