    Default Lifting eye?

I am planning on mounting my engine in the next few weeks and when I took a closer look today I see that it doesn't come with a lifting eye. Just curious what you guys have done? Did you buy a lycoming lifting eye or is there something that I am missing?? Not sure how the CC factory does it?

All the CC340's I've seen have had a lifting eye, you might want to call Mitch and have him send you one.

Mine didn't have one either...picked one up from Univair.

I guess I will order one. What do you torque the bolt back to when you put the lifting eye in?

Don't recall of the top of my head. It's in the Titan manual.

You got it! Too heavy. Don't need it once the engine is installed. The production line has a couple of the Lycoming style loops that they bolt onto the engine to lift it onto the plane then it is removed, the bolt torqued and the lifting loop is used on the next aircraft in line.

Got my lifting eye and the engine mounted today. Just like all of the kit it was a very enjoyable experience and I only had to call Mitch one time today. That shows you how easy it was!! It was a nice change to go back working with big bolts, ratchets and torque wrenches!
