    Default Converting to LED lights

I would like to switch to LED lights as the current strobes are a strain on the small battery, plus I'm sure it will give me an extra 5 kts ;-). Is it possible to remove the existing beacon tail and add the LED light as per the newer planes or is there a modification required to the rudder frame . It looks like the new LED is screwed into the rudder and then fabric added ?

Same question for the wing strobes are the new LEDs a direct replacement.

The wingtip LED's will be no problem but the rudder will be a problem. The LED in the tail has a welded frame and could not be retrofit without some major surgery to the rudder. It would also be tough to relocate the wires with the fabric on. I think they make a smaller LED for the top of the tail. That would be the easiest solution.

Thanks for response I also found a post in the EX section which shows an uncovered rudder where I can clearly see the "cage" built in the for the light. Now looking for a mounting part which is not so tall.
