Flying Young Eages
Last year I made it my goal to get more involved in our local EAA chapter 538 at Deer Valley Airport Phoenix flying in the Young Eagles events. Thanks (and copyright to) to Kurt Gearhart I ended up with a nice set of photos of my Cub after a day at Stellar Airpark. I would really encourage everyone to try Young Eagles flights. These days many kids have flown the airlines previously but 4 times this year out of 15 flights their first ever flight was in a Cubcrafters Cub. I'm the guy in the photo with the ear to ear grin as a fellow pilot pointed out you look happier than the kids because you get to fly that Cub home at the end of the day ;-) It's a special feeling to take a kid on their first ever flight. I would encourage others to get involved.

To give a kid their first flight is pretty rewarding, especially if it serves to inspire them to pursue flying.
