A couple of us made the 180 mile drive down to Nyack NY for Bill's service on Tuesday evening. It turned into a Aerodrome family reunion and Bill would have liked the way the evening turned out.

Spent some time early last Sunday morning flying over your RI beaches. Landed Newport, visit grandbabies in Portsmouth then back home low and slow to Vermont. Beautiful coast line. Perhaps well cross paths.

We're supposed to get our first big snow tonight so I hope to have my EX out soon with the new carbon fiber straight skis.

In my experience, the extra 1/2 inch of UHMW around the perimeter is protection for the ski and adds extra floatation that is nice to have in light powder snow conditions. There are days when this is really important.

Those are are the same skis I have Glenn. Hoping to use for the first time tomorrow if we get the snow predicted overnight.

The skis look good. I got the pic off the carbon concepts FB page. I've gotten a bunch of stuff from Randy for my super cub. What did you use to hold the axle nut on the axle? I have some air glass straights for my cub.

I used a round nut and then an outside clamp type nut retainer that I got with my Airglas LW2500 skis. It is a band with a short pin welded on it that takes the place of a cotter key. That keeps the center of the axle open and let's the dolly axle slide in place.
