    Question Top Cub Questions

Hey all, I have a couple questions on my 2003 model Top Cub (PA-18-150 w/O-360).

The first is what is the best way to gain access to change the ACK Remote Switch ELT Battery? The
four screws on the bezel seem to just spin and not come out. Is the best access from the outside wing
root fairing, or am I on the right track removing from inside?

Also, see the small angle iron welded to the upper cross brace noted in the picture. what is this for? it
    is only on one side.

The remote switch has nuts on the back of the screws. Remove the long bottom wing root panel outside and you should be able to access it fairly easily. 1/4" open ended wrench. Careful working over the gear leg if it has fabric on it. A piece of old carpet over it or a blanket will save you $ if you drop a tool or part.

The small angle welded to the tube should have a number stamped on it. That is the air frame s/n (not aircraft, but the air frame itself).
