    Default Racking Ailerons and Flaps

For painting all sides of my ailerons and flaps I assembled a very simple rack.
    - Vertical 2 x 4's with holes drilled every 6".
    - Cut the 2 x 4's to friction fit between floor and ceiling in my garage/paint booth.
    - Then spaced the vertical stands to suit the length of the flaps and ailerons.
    - positioned the surfaces level between the stands and inserted 6" spikes through stands into the ends of the surfaces.

This allowed me to paint both sides at once. I could also swivel the surfaces on the nails and prop them up to get at the ends.

And the same racking worked for my struts

I have been looking for instructions in the manual to seal the open ends of these surfaces.
It looks like you covered the aileron/flap ends- with fabric, is that correct?

You seal the ends with metal tape normally used by air conditioning people, etc. You can find it at Lowes/Home Depot etc. usually in the section where the a/c components (ducting, etc) are located. It’s usually wide like duct tape but is all metal. You just cut it to fit into the ends of the flaps and ailerons.
