Clamar 2180 amphibs
I have been flying a carbon cub ex on clamar 2180 amphibs. I have put 35 hrs on the amphibs over the summer. These floats are all electric with an exchange weight of about 253 lbs. I have been very happy with the floats performance. I will post some pics soon. I am based in Toronto Canada and use the ac to commute to the cottage.

Would love to see the pics! Do you feel like your measurement of 253 lbs exchange weight is accurate?

Re: Clamar 2180 amphibs
I was extremely keen to make sure the floats were up to spec (350lbs). I had the floats weighed pre install. They were a snick under 350 lbs with struts etc. My landing gear was 97lbs => exchange weight of ~250 lbs. I chose these floats as they provided the added bouncy to handle 1865lbs+. Wips and Montana's seem to be close to 450 lbs. The floats are all electric, and that is the main source of weight savings from what Clair tells me. IMG_20140406_130517.jpg. I will attach panel pics etc in the appropriate forum. This is kit #0017.

jamsheed- I'm thinking about putting Clamar floats on my Carbon Cub EX. Beyond what's you've already said, any other Pros/Cons you can share on the forum? Do you have performance numbers (e.g. TAS with power settings, etc)?
