Looks good. Skis are great fun.

A lot of plumbing between your feet. No room to put it on a side panel?

    Dan,
I looked at that option when I planned the installation. I removed the pump and attached reservoir from my 170B where I had mounted the unit so it slid crosswise onto the seat rails from the back. From my 170 experience pumping onto wheels while sitting in the plane, I knew a decent force is required on the handle. Also the reservoir on the top requires clearance above. After several trial mountings, I picked the way its pictured.
All the plumbing is in the middle. The full width of the foot channels is still available on both sides and you can pump hard and easily. I quite often pump one wheel down to turn quickly, so I do a lot of pumping.
Yes, skis are a blast. I started flying in a prewar Taylorcraft on skis flying up and down frozen rivers. Climb to 500 feet power off and land, climb to 500 feet power of and land. We had over 5 miles to repeat the process. Jake

I love flying on skis but I gave up the Alaska Winters after my Wife put her foot down.

Nice photo. I agree, long winters get old. Jake
