    http://www.ulpower.com/ I hope you guys are keeping an eye on these guys. I've never been a fan of Rotax engines, but these guys on the other hand have my attention. Direct drive, multi point injection, Fadec so no mixture lever needed. Basically a traditional air-cooled aero engine built with modern methods and systems, I like it.

    I'm interested in the fuel economy, cost and light weight of the 135hp. Need data on the thrust line and engine mount fabrication.

    Now with an 180hp it is less feasible but in my area I have room to take off in.

    The CC340 is pretty fuel efficient. You can usually get it to a little under 5.5 GPH, 100 mph true air speed at 6500 feet. You might be able to burn less GPH with something else but I'd bet your airspeed will be less too, equaling a lower MPG.

    a engine that weights the same as an O-200 about 170 lbs has fadec and injection. Will it replace the CC-340 in the carbon cub? no. Would it be a better choice then O-200 in the sport cub I'd vote yes. The only thing I don't like about ULpower is that
    they made all their engines from 140-200hp 6 cylinders which think is a mistake. as far as the fuel consumption I'm sure its
    okay because of the multi point EFI.
