    Thanks in advance

Powder coating (with the "d") is correct.

The frame is statically charged and a powder is sprayed on it. The static charge holds the powder to the frame and makes it uniform and even. The frame is then baked in an oven to a couple hundred degrees and it melts the powder into a smooth, tough finish on the frame that won't fade or wear off.

    Thanks John & Pete
I had no idea they were POWDER Coated. Guess I was thinking that was a No-No, but guess that's just for engine
    mounts?
Will try to Jump Seat to YKM Monday 22nd and do some HD video, factory tour and check my new machine!

    Learning.... But slowly

Great visit to Yakima to learn and tour the fine operation at CubCrafters. I learned
more than I could have imagined about the refined and complicated proccess of
building my new Carbon Cub SS. It reaffirms why I bought one!
Glued to station 7 & 8 cameras to see #283 (Classic yellow) show in avionics!
My Sincere thanks to all the fine team at CubCrafters for their hospitality.

Of course I had my GoPro camera to capture the experience :

Great video! Please document the rest of the build process when you take delivery, and add it to what you've already got.

Yes I called poor Brenda saying STOP! STOP! When I saw the Big Numbers! It was explained to me those are temporary....Until Certified ELSA....then they are removed and the proper 3" go on the Rudder....Had me going
there for a minute. But I'm really excited!
