CubCrafters does not offer a CC360. We do offer a Lycoming O360 with magnetos and a standard oil sump. The CC340 is about 44lbs lighter than the Lycoming O360. The use of our lightweight sump and intake tubes, lightspeed dual electronic ignition (no magneto drive gears), and taper fin cylinders all add up to a light weight 180hp engine. The CC340 is the perfect engine for the Carbon Cub.
Thanks

You are correct they are both rated at 180hp. The CC340 does not have any limitations when used in a Carbon Cub EX. That said most of our builders fly the CC340 at a lower power setting because it burns about the same amount of fuel as the O200 with huge power reserves. The nice thing about the Lightspeed electronic ignition, unlike mags it runs smooth at all RPMs.
Thanks
Mitch
