    Default EX2 Wing Build Video

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QFf...ature=youtu.be

Here is a video I just made after finishing the build of the EX2 wing. I did the same thing on the SuperSTOL build to help others better visualize what to do. I also gave my honest opinions of the pluses and minuses of the kit that will hopefully help others and maybe help the factory know where improvements can be made.

    Hopefully others find this useful.

    Thanks

Thanks for taking the time, Troy - well done!
What kind of fans did you use for your paint booth?

They are 20" fans with a 1/3 HP motor. 3420 CFM each. I have a speed control on each. Exhaust will go out side when I am spraying and once the over spray is out, it will just circulate the garage air through the booth to keep the air moving to help avoid dust settling. No stink with Stewarts so this works well. During drying I will just have one fan running at 50%. I am using actual paint filter (not furnace filters) for the intake and the exhaust.

are you satisfied with Stewart system? why did you choose it over PPG?

Yes I used Stewart's on my last project. The process is very easy and no use of chemicals is required. The finish has a great shine. Virtually no smell through the entire process. My health and a not needing a mask for the entire process is a big plus for me. (Other than spraying of course)

Good video Troy. I have a question for you. When I moved my ex2 wing from the horses to the wing rotator I was surprised at how flexible the wing is. So how do you make sure that the wing still has the proper 1"washout when it goes in the rotator? Thanks.

I used a smart level and set the angle to .75 degrees at the outboard rib. The wing stays flexible even when covered. I made sure the angle was right when I covered the wing and shrunk the fabric. There is no exact science here as every time you rotate the wing twist will change.
