Default Carbon Cub #121, N383RA Delivered

CubCrafters finished the Carbon Cub last week in time for a Friday delivery in Yakima. However the weather was so bad in the Pacific Northwest we decided to take a 4 day weather delay. Ben Hodges my dealer went to Yakima Monday to bring the Carbon Cub back to California on Tuesday. He made it to Sun River, Oregon yesterday before being stopped by a blizzard. Weather was exceptional today and the Carbon Cub made it to San Luis Obispo.

The Carbon Cub was delivered in San Luis Obispo with no squawks. Airplane runs great. Did two hours of tail wheel dual instruction this afternoon.

Bob, did FAA do a 180 on requiring 12" registration marks on LSA's?? Yours looks nice and clean this way. As I recall some early Sport Cubs had small marks but FAA made 'em go back and put the 12" numbers on.

S-LSA's are required to have the 12" numbers, but anything E-LSA has the option of small ones-

Keep in mind as well that 12" numbers are required to go to Canada, and I think Mexico regardless what type of certification the A/C has. This won't apply to most, but if you are thinking about doing that, something to think about. I know some people just add temporary large N numbers with masking tape when they go over the border(s).

Hi Bob, your plane looks great. I like that tail art way better ,and both mine have small N numbers as well. How do you like it? My next inventory bird is red/silver with that tail art and small N numbers and flames. fly safe ,Royce
