Default Measuring Cable Tension - Tensiometers

I'm about ready to install and adjust cables and need to set the tension. Looking around, I see that the cable tension meters are almost $1,000 and some much more. What do others do to adjust? Borrow? Rent?
    Thanks

The Burroughs one is around $200.00. You will want one as I had to retention after 70 hrs or so. Every once in a while I just through it on to check.

Thanks Troy. I see there is a Burroughs at Spruce for 1/8" cables (BT-33-75D) . It goes from 15-70 lbs which should be just right. I guess that is it and it works OK? Always a bit skeptical on inexpensive tools when I can't seem to find any others less than $1,000 or so. This is the one you are talking about? Thanks for the info. That is great to have.

That is the one. It is the same one that is seen in CC manual. Worked great so far.

I would not use a belt tension gauge as this gauge is specific to cable diameter.

Great. Thanks so much....just ordered it. Like you say, it will be nice to have one on hand anyway and at that price, it works.

page 109 of finish manual has a picture of BT-33-75d. If it works for CC it should be good enough.
