I see you put plugs in side panel. Did you insulate that some how or is that not in the duct work of heater. That gets so hot it will all most burn you when it’s heaters on. i would like to put a USB there but it seems way to hot on mine
    thanks

I put it in about the only place that didn’t have a duct and also worked for the rear pax. Here are a couple of pictures that might help.

I pinned it out in case I need to remove the panel. If it does get too hot, I will insulate around it with some of the material that I used on my firewall.

What are your thoughts on that? This is my first build, and I don’t any experience with the system in actual use.

Well my first thought is that gonna get really hot there with the heater on. Maybe not hot enough to melt anything but I would be insulating around it for sure. I could be totally wrong I just know that heater works extremely well.
Let us know how it works.
    Thanks

Finally completed. But, I’m having a lot of static interference while the AP is engaged

A lot of nice looking panels.

Just a curiosity question, I noticed that some have included a 'old school' mechanical slip indicator on their electronic panels.

I have 60+ hours on the bird now running a Dynon system, which of course has a 'ball' on the PFD. I wonder how accurate they really are. Would adding a mechanical slip indicator add any value, other than easier to see? How do the electronic ones work, accelerometers?

I mounted one on top of my G3X panel wanting it in plain and immediate sight. My eyes never need to leave the windscreen to keep me centered. I should probably mount one on the end of my nose for all other times

A man with a watch knows what time it is. A man with two watches is never sure. 🤣

The ball in your PFD will be extremely accurate. It uses the AHRS.

    Thanks for the insight.

Don't know how accurate mine is as the ball is never centrered.

This is my 2008 Sport Cub. We just recently changed out the coms in both planes.
Scott's 2007 has the Stratus ADS-B out transponder, I have the Skybeacon.
