CC offers a number of panel options for a new S2. Does that mean I have the option to change my current panel in my S2 to one of the options listed? Taking into account weight issues and those things. I cant seem to get the rules straight in my head.

Yes, you can switch to any of the "approved" panels. Might not be cost effective though all things considered.

Thanks Randy. I'm curious why it may not be cost effective?

    Rich,
Our rebuild shop charges $75/hr. The cost to fully change out the panel, both with parts and labor, would be considerable. An owner would need to ask "is it cheaper just to sell the plane and buy another with the panel I want?" I haven't done such an analysis but my guess is that trading planes might be more cost effective.

There is another option: have your plane converted to ELSA and then do the change/upgrade yourself. Perfectly legal and very cost-effective.
