    Default Temp

Is it legal to install an oat gauge in an S2. I'm getting conflicting reports.
There are many options as you all know. A small digital seems like it would be useful at times, if anyone knows the rules it would be appreciated.

I have a simpler, if less elegant, solution. I keep an old meat-thermometer-style OAT gauge in the chart pouch. When I want to know the outside temp, the probe fits nicely through the gap at the upper forward corner of the right side window.

Ditto here and it is pretty close to other aircraft in flight with a real OAT probe!! Cheap and simple.
